The first step is to open the image that you want to work on in the Photoshop. You will then have to set up the layer that you want to edit hair on a white background. Thereafter, from the plenty set of tools select Quick selection tool; which is the most effective.

Activating the Add To Selection icon gives you the ability to drag through and select areas of the image you want to include in your selection. Holding down the Alt key on your keyboard makes you do the opposite; activating the subtract mode.

The next step is to make your image finer, by refining it. You will have to select on Edge Detection that appears near the top of the Refine Edge dialog.

Using the Refine Radius drawing brush, you can bring even more details. This works well in this case where there is plenty of hair on an image. Using the brush, you can go around the edges to select areas that you might have missed earlier. Holding onto Shift and E buttons simultaneously give you the ability to erase what the brush has done.

Adjust Edge sliders comes into play next. Using the feather slider you can make finer the edge of the selection. This is to make the work more realistic by erasing any doubts whatsoever that may be spotted in the final result. Glowing edges may be tough to work on but Shift Edge makes it easy for you to get things done.

When working with cutouts that are from colored backgrounds, you can use the Decontaminate Colours check box. it works by replacing pixels along the selection line and getting rid of the halo effect in the image. Shifting the amount slider gives control on how much of the edge is affected by Decontaminated Colors. Removing the background from the image

What you want to do is to remove the background from the image, the original one. A larger brush is then needed as the finer part of the work has been completed. It will be used to remove the rest of the background. This marks the end of the difficult part of the work; you now just have to replace the background with one of your own. Maybe a beautiful garden or an expensive car to spice things up.
